This Position reports to:

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Service Large Motors division in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Provides regular feedback and makes recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities, and possible critical situations.
Supports testing needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality , process and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
Executes and assists specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.
Reports quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages
Collects, records, and evaluates data to be interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity.
Provides support to other functional teams as needed to establish test protocols and perform inspections.
Performs activities related to designated winding areas within quality control, including quality testing and verification, laboratory and certifications, product safety and compliance, and audits and reporting.
Ensures that identified problems from quality control are understood and evaluated from a customer/stakeholder point of view.

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

BE – Mechanical /Electrical with 3-5 years of motor industry experience in operation area.
Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.
Ensures that their own area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
Works in close collaboration to resolve the problems and ensures they are fully addressed by following robust root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
Evaluates test performance for effectiveness and efficiency to improve process. Uses lessons learned from the field to improve testing in alignment with engineering.
Serves as a leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
