Job Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Ophthalmologist with a mid-level position at Spandana Hospital, located in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should have 4 to 6 years of work experience in the field. The position involves diagnosing and treating various eye-related conditions, focusing on advanced ophthalmic procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in OCT imaging is essential for assessing and monitoring eye health (Mandatory skill).
Expertise in slit lamp examination for evaluating anterior eye structures and detecting abnormalities (Mandatory skill).
Competence in contact lens fitting to ensure optimal vision correction and patient comfort (Mandatory skill).
Experience in LASIK surgery for vision correction through laser technology is highly required.
Ability to perform cataract surgery to restore vision impaired by cataracts is essential.
Skilled in fundus photography to document the interior surface of the eye for diagnostic purposes.
Proficient in corneal topography to map the surface curvature of the cornea for better diagnosis.
Capable of conducting eye ultrasound for detailed imaging of the eye structures, including the posterior segment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and manage ophthalmic conditions.
Perform advanced ophthalmic procedures including LASIK and cataract surgeries.
Utilize OCT imaging and slit lamp examination to evaluate and monitor patient eye health.
Fit contact lenses for patients and provide guidance on lens care and maintenance.
Use diagnostic tools such as fundus photography and corneal topography for detailed analysis.
Offer patient education on eye health, safety, and disease prevention strategies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient treatment plans and outcomes.
Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, examinations, and treatment plans.
