Role Description

The Vice President of Human Resources & Administration is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram.

As a head of the HR & admin functions, your role involves leading HR initiatives and overseeing all aspects of human resource practices and processes, including developing strategies to enhance employee engagement, streamlining HR operations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Responsibilities also include overseeing employee relations programs, implementing HR technologies, managing employee benefits, and driving the development and execution of HR policies to support the organization's strategic goals.

Apart from HR, the role involves having a strong administration function control by planning the working at manufacturing business units, regular audits, gemba observations and ensuring safe and congenial working for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Human Capital Leadership

Develop and execute the Group's people strategy aligned with business goals (current and future).
Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, and Business Unit Heads.
Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical positions across the Group.
Identify and plan future talent requirements to support business growth and expansion.

HR Business Partnership

Partner closely with leaders across all business units and all manufacturing locations to ensure seamless alignment between business objectives and people strategy.
Serve as a trusted business partner to drive productivity, capability building, and organizational effectiveness.
Support organizational restructuring, transformation initiatives, and growth projects.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead talent acquisition planning across all levels, from shop-floor talent to senior leadership and building a robust strategy for the same.
Build robust workforce planning models and future talent pipelines.
Develop employer branding strategies to attract top talent in highly competitive sectors.

Compensation, Benefits & Performance Management

Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits frameworks.
Craft and drive performance management systems that reward merit, accountability, and results using PQCDSM framework.
Use analytics and benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.

Factory HR & Industrial Relations Leadership

The ideal candidate must have significant experience leading HR & administration functions in manufacturing businesses and should possess strong expertise in:

Factory administration
Industrial relations
Statutory and labor law compliance
Contract labor management
Employee engagement programs including Shop-floor culture development
Discipline and grievance handling
Safety culture support and workforce participation
Workforce deployment and optimization
Manufacturing capability development

Facilities & Administration

Oversee facilities preparedness and administration across locations.
Ensure workplace infrastructure, employee services, and support systems operate efficiently.
Drive continuous improvement in workplace experience, safety, and operational effectiveness.

Organizational Development & Culture

Build a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Design leadership development and learning initiatives.
Drive employee engagement and retention through measurable interventions.

Data-Driven HR Leadership

Hands on experience in implementation of HRIS
Establish robust HR analytics and people dashboards.
Drive decision-making through metrics, facts, and operational data.
Track and improve key indicators including productivity, retention, engagement, absenteeism, hiring effectiveness, leadership readiness, and workforce capability.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a leader who:

✔ Has 25+ years of progressive HR leadership experience

✔ Has extensive experience in manufacturing and factory environments

✔ Has successfully partnered with business leaders to drive operational and financial performance

✔ Is equally comfortable in boardrooms, plants, and shop floors

✔ Demonstrates strong knowledge of industrial relations, factory administration, labor laws, and workforce management

✔ Believes in Gemba leadership and regularly engages with employees where value is created

✔ Uses data, facts, and measurable outcomes to drive decisions rather than assumptions

✔ Has successfully led organizational transformation, culture-building, and leadership development initiatives

✔ Is highly execution-oriented and capable of translating strategy into action

✔ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; additional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus
