Engineer I – Field Service (Projects)

Location & Role

Location: Ahmedabad, India | Full-Time (On-site & Office) | Service Operations

Experience

3–8 years of experience in HVAC piping design and project execution
Hands-on experience in chilled water piping, plumbing, primary & secondary pumps, and thermal storage systems
Working knowledge of HVAC accessories and control systems

Job Summary

Lead design, development, and execution of liquid cooling systems for data centres with strong thermal and fluid engineering expertise

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery

Assist liquid cooling projects from concept to completion
Participate in project meetings and provide design inputs
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing)
Review and approve designs for accuracy and compliance
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Execute HVAC chilled water, plumbing, and fire line piping systems

Testing & Validation

Develop and execute test plans for cooling system validation
Analyse test data and improve system performance
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Service & Operations

Apply knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics in project execution
Understand control systems, BMS and sensor integration
Perform preventive maintenance, bulletin implementation, and troubleshooting within SLA
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
Maintain proper technical documentation and reporting

Preferred Criteria

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Proven experience in project execution
