About the Role

The Project Manager / Cluster Head will be responsible for end-to-end IT project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost efficiency, and compliance with Life Insurance industry standards. Acting as a strategic bridge between business and technology, this role requires deep life insurance domain expertise, strong leadership, and proven stakeholder management skills to deliver impactful outcomes across clusters.

Key Responsibilities

Life Insurance Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of Life Insurance processes, products, and regulatory frameworks to guide project execution and digital transformation initiatives.
IT Project Management: Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and budgets. Implement project governance frameworks and risk management strategies.
Cost Optimization: Drive efficiency by identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing resource allocation, and leveraging automation/testing tools to reduce operational overhead.
Business Development: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support organizational growth through technology-driven initiatives.
Testing Oversight: Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure adherence to testing methodologies, guaranteeing high-quality deliverables.
Leadership: Mentor and manage cross-functional teams, oversee multiple clusters, and foster collaboration across departments to achieve strategic goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
Strategic Growth: Contribute to organizational growth by implementing innovative solutions, enhancing customer experience, and supporting digital transformation in the Life Insurance sector.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 14 years in IT project management, with significant exposure to Life Insurance domain projects.
Skills: Expertise in UAT/testing, proven cost reduction, stakeholder management, and leadership of large teams.
