Role Overview

We are looking for a Vertex Specialist to manage and optimize Vertex Cloud Vertex O Series tax solutions with Vertex Indirect Tax O Series OnDemand Vertex VAT Compliance VAT countries Vertex Indirect Tax Accelerator ACC Vertex O Address Cleansing Solution Vertex Certificate manager ECM Vertex Certificate wizard ECW Vertex Indirect tax returns North America for global tax operations The role will focus on configuration maintenance tax content updates and supporting tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions US EMEA APAC Israel

Key Responsibilities

1 Vertex System Configuration

Configure Vertex tax rules product taxability tax categories jurisdictions and content updates

Manage Vertex Cloud or Vertex O Series environments including setup instance configuration and synchronization

Ensure tax accuracy for Sales Purchases and Returns processes

Handle Vertex content updates monthly or quarterly and coordinate deployment with IT teams

2 Tax Compliance and Reporting

Support indirect tax compliance for VAT GST and Sales Use Tax across regions

Generate and validate tax reports within Vertex and ensure alignment with local regulations

Coordinate with Finance and Tax teams for periodic tax reconciliation and audit support

3 Vertex System Administration

Manage user access roles and security within Vertex Cloud

Monitor system performance connectivity and batch job executions

Handle Vertex content updates certificates and environment patches

4 CrossSystem Coordination

Collaborate with SAP Oracle or other ERP teams to ensure proper tax data flow between ERP and Vertex

Validate transactional data integration invoice sales order purchase order

Work closely as part of Vertex Support team for issue resolution patching and upgrades

5 Process Optimization

Identify opportunities for tax process automation and accuracy improvement

Support implementation of Vertex Cloud migration or new region onboarding projects

Conduct UAT User Acceptance Testing for new tax setups and rule changes

Required Skills and Experience

810 years of experience in Vertex Cloud or Vertex O Series configuration and administration with Vertex Indirect Tax O Series OnDemand Vertex VAT Compliance VAT countries Vertex Indirect Tax Accelerator ACC Vertex O Address Cleansing Solution Vertex Certificate manager ECM Vertex Certificate wizard ECW Vertex Indirect tax returns North America for global tax operations

Solid understanding of indirect taxation Sales Tax VAT GST

Experience in ERP tax integration preferably SAP or Oracle

Strong analytical skills to interpret tax rules and convert them into system logic

Experience with Vertex data uploads reports and content updates

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in multicountry multicurrency tax environments

Knowledge of SAP S4HANA tax configuration TAXUSX TAXINJ etc

Vertex Certification preferred but not mandatory

Familiarity with cloudbased integration and APIs
