Lab in charge – Physics & Chemistry

Purpose of Role

To ensure the smooth functioning, safety, and compliance of the Physics and Chemistry laboratories by managing resources, supporting academic activities, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

Teacher – Physics - Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of Physics and Chemistry labs.
Maintain inventory of chemicals, equipment, and instruments.
Ensure proper storage and labelling of hazardous materials.
Implement and monitor safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Assist faculty and students during practical sessions.
Prepare experimental setups and demonstrations.
Maintain accurate records of experiments and training.
Schedule calibration and servicing of instruments.
Report and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
Keep logs of chemical usage, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
Prepare reports for audits and inspections.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or related field
Hands-on experience with lab instruments and experimental setups.
Knowledge of chemical handling and disposal procedures.
