Job Description

You must have a master's degree in structures from an institute of repute. Experience of around 10 years but not necessarily in number of years but in developing ways of working in a structural-design- team though the lessons learned over years of practice. Basic knowledge of how ETABS, ROBOT, or TEKLA structural designer (TSD) work and working with MS excel will be required. Revit, and AUTOCAD basics will be added advantages. In depth knowledge of in-situ Concrete and Steel work design, commercial acumen and people managing skills are the qualities we are looking for.

Good understanding of Steel Structures.
Experience in Analysis & Design of Industrial Steel Structures
Experience in International Codes, especially Eurocodes, is preferred.
Experience in review and approval Steel Workshop & Erection/GA Drawings.
Experience of connection calculation (Idea Statica experience preferred).
Basic skills in Tekla Structures.
Basic understanding and experience of Revit and ACC is beneficial.
Expertise in analysis software like STAAD Pro, RFEM
Other preferred software skills: Robot, FEMdesign, ETABS.

You will join our Global Engineering Centredepartment

As our new Senior Engineer - Structures you will be part of Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) that was established as a dedicated institution for creating the excellence centre in Ramboll. REC focusses on providing global expertise using local resources from India. Facilitates cooperation between India, business units in Europe and the Middle East specifically for the Buildings, Transport and Water sectors.

This big team is divided into groups of dedicated personnel working for structures in UK, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway who sometimes also work across these boundaries. They are virtual team mates working on common projects, prime business units in the above countries being the ones who coordinate with the clients and other consultants as well as with REC to pass on the design solutions to the user. The wide range in type of projects vary from high rise structures, to precast, to post tensioning etc., for some regions to industrial structures depending on the country you are working for. The most attractive thing is in spite of the challenges of working across continents, because of the culture of planning ahead and ability to understand each other's needs, everyone works in a peaceful and lively manner, enjoyment and empowerment being some of the Ramboll values.

B Tech/M Tech in Civil from a reputed institution.
Experience on International projects/codes like Eurocodes is advantageous.
Experience on analysis, design and detailing of Steel structures
Deliver in High Quality: Calculation Models & Reports, Steel Workshop & Erection Drawings (QA)
Must have experience on buildings projects with Structural steel.
Analysis & Design of Steel Structures using STAAD Pro and/or RFEM.
Experience in Eurocodes is preferred.
Connection Calculations (Idea Statica expertise preferred)
Checking and approval of Workshop and Erection/GA Drawings.
Ability to collaborate and work in large and diverse project teams.
Excellent English communication skills- written & spoken.
