We are seeking a skilled Finance & Accounts Sr Executive to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This full-time, mid-level role is ideal for professionals with up to 6 years of relevant experience in IT software companies, focusing on finance operations, reporting, and end-to-end accounts management. The position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing critical financial activities within a fast-growing, digital-first enterprise.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven expertise in financial reporting and preparing detailed financial statements in an IT software company environment (Mandatory skill).
Proficiency in handling billing functions specifically in IT services, with the ability to process and reconcile complex transactions (Mandatory skill).
Hands-on experience with account payables management, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate ledger maintenance (Mandatory skill).
Demonstrated capability in managing account receivables, including invoice processing, collections follow-up, and reconciliations (Mandatory skill).
Working knowledge of Zoho Books and Zoho payroll modules for streamlined financial operations and payroll management.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, report generation, and data management.
Familiarity with Tally ERP for routine accounting operations, bookkeeping, and compliance tasks within an IT consulting environment.
Sound understanding of statutory taxation, GST filings, and regulatory compliance relevant to the IT sector in India.

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory guidelines.
Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports for management, highlighting trends and actionable insights.
Manage end-to-end billing processes for IT software projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders for timely client invoicing and revenue recognition.
Monitor and process account receivables and payables, including liaison with customers and vendors for reconciliations and dispute resolutions.
Coordinate payroll processing through Zoho payrole, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and internal payroll cycles.
Conduct regular audits on financial transactions using tools such as Zoho Books and Tally ERP, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
Support statutory filings, taxation requirements, and assist with budget preparation and adherence.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives for optimizing finance operations in a rapidly scaling digital business environment.
