Overall purpose of the role

To assist with various tax reporting and accounting activities. This role is a hands-on Associate role which is required to produce a high standard of reporting from our shared service center, acting as an intermediary to our tax advisors, tax authorities, local finance teams and leadership across Alight group.

Main Responsibilities

Handling TDS matters and compliance activities.
Preparation of E-way bill, DC & E-invoicing.
Supporting GST related activities and compliance.
Supporting tax accounting, reconciliations and related activities.
Frequent interaction various teams and stakeholders in India and US on various activities.

Desirable Knowledge

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in India TDS compliance, specifically in vendor-related withholding tax activities.
Experience into handling India audit matters in TDS.
Good knowledge of accounting, preferably in financial and tax accounting.
Ability to communicate effectively with various levels across teams from staff to XLT.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve tight deadlines.
Ability to work on multiple assignments.
Education: Graduate in Commerce/ Semi Qualified CA/ACCA/CMA or MBA (Finance)
