Job Summary:

Manages market strategic development. Designs and implements market penetration plans and programs to accomplish business plans or organizational goals targeting business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Utilizes macro, market, or technology trends, to shape the long-term product plan. Collaborates with Market Segment teams and Account Managers utilizing Human-centered Design (HCD) principles to understand requirements and develop customer-led product plans. Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the current product to provide input for future product change. Creates product road map in support of a specific market segment. Supports Synchronized Business Planning (SBP) Product Review process as the owner of specific projects and market segments within the Master Project List (MPL). Develops business case and leads Pre-program Planning (PPP) for specific larger-scale opportunities within the portfolio. Develops value proposition for new products and articulates appropriate position within the portfolio. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders. Participates in Product Planning Functional Excellence and best practice sharing within the business to drive continuous improvement. Coaches and mentors cross-functional teams supporting Product Planning. Drives cross-functional and cross-business unit alignment to the product plan.

Prioritizing Market Opportunities - Collaborates with business stakeholders to define criteria and framework for ranking and achieving consensus on market opportunities.

Product Tradeoff Evaluation - Compares and contrasts the interplay of potential product features, regulatory and customer requirements, budget, and technical capabilities to evaluate and decide what can be offered to win in the market.

Scenario Planning - Create alternate scenarios each including an assessment of variances to business or financial goals, strategy, vision, and capabilities to enable strategic decision making.

Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in sales, marketing, technical or a related subject required.

MBA Preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Significant level of relevant work experience required.

Technical background preferred.
