Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management in decision-making with timely financial insights. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable acts.
Finalization of accounts and coordination with auditors for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Handle payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
Support management with financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Guide and train junior accounts staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA/ICWA/Inter CA preferred).
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in logistics/transport/related industries.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
