Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the finance team in managing daily accounting operations within a fast-paced staffing/recruitment environment. The role involves handling invoicing, payroll coordination, vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and ledger maintenance
Generate and manage client invoices based on staffing bill rates, timesheets, and contracts
Coordinate with recruitment/operations teams for timesheet validation and billing accuracy
Support payroll processing for contract employees and consultants
Track and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements
Perform bank reconciliations and assist in month-end closing activities
Maintain accurate records of statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF, ESI – if applicable)
Assist in preparation of financial reports, MIS, and audit documentation
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com preferred)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with GST, TDS, and payroll concepts (especially in staffing industry is a plus)
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or prior experience in staffing, recruitment, or consultancy firms
Exposure to contract staffing payroll and billing cycles
Knowledge of compliance related to contract employees
