Role Description

The Editorial Assistant role at HubHawks is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The Editorial Assistant will support the editorial team in preparing manuscripts for publication, including text editing, formatting, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and consistency. Day-to-day tasks include, proofreading, editing and coordinating with writers, designers, and marketing colleagues, tracking project timelines, and maintaining organised records of editorial changes. The role involves reviewing content for grammar, style, and clarity, assisting in the development of editorial guidelines, and helping manage communication with authors and other stakeholders. The Editorial Assistant is expected to contribute to a collaborative, detail-oriented workflow that supports high-quality book production and campaigns.

Qualifications

Strong Text Editing and Editorial skills, including familiarity with style guides and content structure.
Excellent Proofreading and Writing abilities to ensure clear, error-free, and engaging content.
Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external authors.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Comfort with basic digital tools and office software; experience in publishing or book marketing is an advantage.
Relevant academic background in English, Literature, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
