For : Assistant Manager / Sr Executive - Production & Plant Operations

Job Specification Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical / Production Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 69 years in production & plant operations, preferably in chemical, pharma, related manufacturing industries.

Required:

Production planning & control Knowledge of plant operations and process flow

Preventive & breakdown maintenance handling

Manpower management & leadership skills

Logistics & supply chain coordination

Strong understanding of ISO, safety & quality standards

Problem-solving and decision-making ability Technical Skills:

Knowledge of process equipment

Understanding of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma concepts

Ability to analyse root cause of breakdowns

Knowledge of safety systems

Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance planning & spare parts management

Competence in quality tools (SPC, CAPA, deviation analysis)

Knowledge of environmental & statutory compliances related to manufacturing Accountabilities: -

Ensure smooth functioning of production and plant operations as per business requirements.

Supervise and guide subordinates (Production Executive, Logistics Executive, Production Supervisor, Maintenance team).

Monitor daily production targets and ensure achievement with optimum resource utilization.

Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance guidelines. Implement production schedules, coordinate raw material availability, and manage workflow efficiency.

Coordinate with QC/QA for product quality approvals.

Ensure timely dispatch and logistics support for customer deliveries.

Reduce machine breakdowns by implementing preventive maintenance plans.

Develop SOPs and ensure their implementation across the production floor.

Train, motivate, and build capability in the production & operations team.

High product quality with minimum rejections/complaints.

Strong team performance and workforce discipline. Compliance with all safety, statutory, and ISO standards.

Timely reporting and MIS submission to senior management.

Job Description Production Management: -

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production plans

Monitor production output, track variances, and take corrective actions.

Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, machines, and manpower.

Maintain stock levels of finished goods to meet dispatch requirements. Plant Operations: -

Oversee overall plant operations including production, maintenance, and logistics.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational policies.

Implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives. Quality & Compliance

Coordinate with QA/QC team to maintain product quality standards.

Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, and statutory compliance requirements.

Enforce strict safety measures and housekeeping practices on the shop floor. Maintenance Management: -

Supervise preventive maintenance schedules and breakdown maintenance.

Ensure minimum downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

Coordinate with the Maintenance team for spares & equipment availability. Logistics & Dispatch: -

Supervise logistics planning and material movement for timely dispatches.

Ensure proper coordination between production and dispatch teams.

Minimize delays and ensure correct documentation for shipments. Store & Material Management: -

Oversee inward & outward movement of raw materials, packing materials, and f inished goods.

Ensure proper storage, stock management, and inventory control in line with company policies.

Coordinate with purchase and store teams to maintain optimum stock levels.

Monitor and verify material documentation, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and dispatch records. Export & Documentation: -

Supervise and coordinate export-related production, packaging, and logistics requirements.

Ensure compliance with export documentation (packing lists, shipping documents, etc.).

Ensure timely dispatch of export consignments with accurate paperwork. Team Leadership & Development: -

Lead, guide, and supervise executives, supervisors, and workers.

Ensure smooth communication and coordination within the team.

Conduct training sessions to upskill employees.

Maintain discipline, resolve conflicts, and motivate staff.

Analyse data trends to identify gaps and suggest improvements
