Ciklum is looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About The Role

As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

Lead manual and automation testing efforts for enterprise applications with a focus on quality, scalability, and release readiness
5+ years of experience in QA Engineering with strong manual and automation testing experience
Develop, maintain, and execute UI and API automation frameworks using PHP and Selenium
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery
Mentor team members on automation best practices, testing processes, and framework improvements
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to identify risks, troubleshoot defects, and improve overall product quality
Validate APIs, integrations, and backend processes to ensure reliable data flow across systems

Requirements

Strong experience as a Business Analyst in payments, fintech, or financial services, with a solid understanding of payment processing and settlement workflows
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for payment gateway consolidation or payment platform modernization initiatives
Good understanding of payment gateways, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, clearing, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks
Experience working on legacy application modernization, preferably involving PHP-based applications and migration to modern architectures
Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define target-state processes and solution requirements
Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows (BPMN/UML), acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence, with experience supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business objectives and technical implementation across cross-functional teams
