Proceed with Pride is Bain's client selection and acceptance process. Developed in partnership with our Industry and Capability Practice Areas, it helps ensure we can be proud of the work we take on. When concerns arise, Partners are encouraged to engage the Proceed with Pride team for guidance and discussion.

The focus is nearly always on identifying the right mitigating actions to enable us to Proceed with Pride, although in some instances we will jointly decide not to proceed.

Regional Risk Officers (RROs) have been appointed to lead Regional Risk teams to align Proceed with Pride more closely with our line leadership. RROs are experienced, independent Advisory Partners and report to our Chief Risk Officer, who reports to the Board Risk Sub-Committee.

In this role, you will support the Senior Manager, APAC Client Risk, and the APAC RRO, helping to shape and execute the region's approach to client selection and acceptance. You'll be a key driver of strategic thinking and operational execution across risk efforts in the region.

Why you'll want to join

Work at the intersection of ethics, reputation, and real-world events: Apply critical thinking to complex topics (e.g., geopolitics, regulatory scrutiny, sensitive sectors, AI), and support senior decision-making on whether and how Bain engages with clients and different types of work, balancing ethical and reputational trade-offs with integrity, while protecting Bain's values and enabling responsible growth.
Build a critical capability for Bain's future: Proceed with Pride is a growing, evolving function – help shape how we manage emerging risk issues, expand our scope, and modernise how we operate at scale.
Direct exposure to senior leadership: Collaborate with Partners, Office Heads, Practice leaders, Legal, and PR/Comms, and support engagements with EMEA's Regional Managing Partner (RMP) and Bain's Board Risk Sub-Committee.
Have fun! Proceed with Pride is global, yet close-knit – be part of a collaborative and supportive team with a meaningful mission, a strong culture of camaraderie and plenty of opportunities for professional growth.

Key tasks

Design and develop briefing materials and coordinate leadership updates for senior stakeholders (including APAC leadership and Practice Area Heads), strengthening Partners awareness of their role in client risk and reputation management for Bain.
Design agendas and run regular sessions with Practice Area Managers (PAMs) to build awareness, surface risks, and strengthen risk capabilities across teams, supporting consistent decision-making across the region.

3. Team Enablement & Innovation – Strengthen the Proceed with Pride team through scalable, forward-thinking solutions

Support initiatives to build and evolve the team's purpose and mission, including leveraging AI to automate processes and improve insight generation.
Continuously refine frameworks and guidelines to remain effective in an ever-changing, volatile environment, reflecting evolving reputational expectations and strategic priorities.
