Position: Brand Strategist

Location: Hyderabad | Onsite | Full-Time

About the Role: What a Brand Strategist Means at Social DNA

At Social DNA, a Brand Strategist is not a coordinator or an account manager. You find the insight, set the direction and make sure every campaign has a reason to exist.

You connect a client's business objectives to creative execution, and you own the thinking that our content, design, video and performance teams build on.

Responsibilities

- Build brand strategy for assigned clients: research, consumer insight, positioning, brand architecture and communication frameworks.

- Recommend one clear strategic direction and defend it with clients, rather than presenting a menu of options.

- Translate strategy into integrated campaigns across digital, social, influencer, video, PR, print and on-ground, working with content, design and video teams on scripts, shoots and production.

- Act as the strategic lead for assigned clients, understanding their business goals, category and brand tone.

- Own the monthly client review: read performance numbers, connect them to business outcomes, and drive growth and retention.

- Protect brand consistency across all touchpoints, online and offline.

- Support new business pitches with research, insight and strategic narrative.

- Use AI tools for research, planning and optimisation, with clear judgement on where they help and where they don't.

- Guide junior team members and raise the quality of briefs across the team.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of experience working at an advertising, branding or digital agency (mandatory). In-house marketing and freelance roles do not count towards this requirement.

- A portfolio showing strategy you personally led: the business problem, your insight and what changed as a result.

- Exposure to at least three of: digital marketing, PR, events, print, photoshoots or video production.

- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning and campaign management.

- Working knowledge of paid media (Meta and Google) and the ability to read campaign and GA4 reports.

- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams on live client delivery.

- Excellent written English, presentation and client-facing skills.

- Awareness of communication compliance in regulated categories such as healthcare and pharma.

- Interest in AI, automation and emerging marketing technologies.

- Degree in communications, marketing, advertising or design/visual studies preferred.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates complete a written brand challenge, followed by a live presentation at our Hyderabad office. Please include a portfolio or work samples with your application.

Work Schedule
