2. Intraoperative Anesthesia Management

Administer and monitor anesthesia for:
Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
Valve replacements/repairs
Congenital heart defect surgeries
Aortic and major vascular procedures
Thoracic surgeries (VATS, thoracotomies)
Manage patients on cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), off-pump, and ECMO (if trained).
Perform invasive line placements (arterial lines, CVP, PA catheter), TEE (if trained), and manage hemodynamic monitoring.
Ensure strict asepsis and adherence to cardiac anesthesia protocols.

Participate in teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and students.
Attend and contribute to academic activities such as CMEs, case discussions, journal clubs.
Engage in research, data collection, and publications.
