Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or Taxation (Commerce)
Chartered Accountant
One to three years of progressive experience
Knowledge of indirect tax strongly preferred, VAT/GST is a plus
Proficient in NetSuite or equivalent ERP applications
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Must work collaboratively and possess a strong work ethic
Must be comfortable interacting with external tax advisors
Track record of identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions to improve processes
Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for indirect tax compliance filings including working with accounting data, personnel, and outside advisors
Assist global tax compliance and external tax advisors in the preparation of various indirect tax filings to ensure accurate and timely filings, mainly focusing on VAT and GST
Perform general accounting functions including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and sub-ledger reconciliations
Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure accounting records are complete and accurate
Participate in the annual financial audit process including interactions with internal and external auditors
Assist with other tax related projects on an ad hoc basis and general administrative tasks
