Role Summary
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across global environments. The role requires deep technical expertise in Cisco and Juniper routing/switching technologies, Aruba wireless solutions, and overall network infrastructure management.
The engineer will act as an L3 escalation point, lead complex troubleshooting activities, execute network implementations and migrations, support critical incidents, and provide technical guidance to operations teams while ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
Network Implementation & Deployment
Lead implementation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center network solutions.
Perform installation, configuration, and migration of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba network devices.
Execute network transformation projects, technology refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.
Support SD-WAN, campus, branch, and wireless deployments.
Develop and validate implementation plans, rollback procedures, and testing strategies.
L3 Network Operations & Escalation Support
Act as L3 SME for network incidents and escalations.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues.
Lead major incident resolution activities and bridge calls.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures.
Analyze packet captures, logs, and network behavior to identify issues.
Routing & Switching
Design, configure, and troubleshoot:
- OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static Routing, Route Redistribution, HSRP/VRRP, MPLS concepts
Configure and troubleshoot:
- VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, EtherChannel, VPC/VSS, Port Security, QoS
Juniper Technologies
Configure and troubleshoot Juniper EX, QFX, MX, and SRX platforms.
Manage routing and switching using Junos OS.
Troubleshoot policy, firewall filters, and routing issues.
Support Juniper wireless and Mist deployments where applicable.
Aruba Wireless
Implement and manage Aruba Wireless infrastructure.
Configure Aruba Controllers, Aruba Central, and Access Points.
Troubleshoot:
- RF issues, Roaming problems, Authentication failures, Wireless performance degradation
Perform wireless site validation and optimization.
Cisco Wireless
Configure and support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).
Manage Cisco Access Points and WLAN policies.
Troubleshoot wireless connectivity and performance issues.
Support guest access, authentication, and mobility services.
Network Security & Infrastructure
Support enterprise network security standards and controls.
Troubleshoot network access control mechanisms.
Work with Firewalls, NAC, and security teams during implementations and incidents.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
Monitoring & Automation
Utilize network monitoring tools such as:
- LogicMonitor, Cisco DNAC, Splunk, ThousandEyes, Junos Space
Identify recurring issues and automate operational tasks.
Support infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning initiatives.

Documentation & Knowledge Management
Develop:
- Network diagrams, SOPs, Runbooks, Technical design documents, RCA reports
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
