Job Summary:
The Level 3 Enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for managing and maintaining the complex enterprise network infrastructure. This position involves advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, incident management, and the implementation of strategic network solutions. The Level 3 NOC Engineer will work in a 24/7 operations environment, providing top-tier support and guidance to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor the enterprise network infrastructure using advanced network management and monitoring tools.
Analyze network performance metrics and trends to proactively identify potential issues.
Lead the resolution of complex network incidents and outages, coordinating with various teams as necessary.
Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of network issues.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing network performance, reliability, and scalability.
Maintaining network infrastructure consisting of network devices such as Cisco routers/switches, Cisco Wireless, Extreme Wireless, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco ACI, VMware AVI, CradlePoint Routers, Packet capturing tools, Cisco ISE, Infoblox, Cisco SD-WAN, NetGate, Microsemi Time Server.
Perform advanced configuration and tuning of network devices and systems.
Ensure the network is secure by implementing and maintaining security measures and protocols.
Respond to and mitigate network security threats and vulnerabilities in collaboration with the security team.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, incidents, and resolutions.
Prepare and present detailed reports on network performance and incident resolution to senior management.
Lead network-related projects handover from Project team to ensure smooth operational support after project completion.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior NOC engineers and support staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and network initiatives.
Stay up to date with emerging network technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Active participation in major incident bridge calls during outage to resolve P1 incidents if any.
On-call support to address network emergencies.
Lead initiatives involving creation of re-usable assets.
Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications: BE, BTech.
Technology Certifications: CCNP (must have), CCDP (good to have), CCIE (good to have)
Extensive experience in network operations, administration, and engineering roles.
Expert knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
Proficiency with advanced network monitoring and management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of resolving complex network issues.
