Technical Anchor – Business Consulting Group (JL5)

Role Summary

As a Technical Anchor within the Business Consulting Group, you will play a key role in driving technical engagements during sales pursuits and customer interactions. The role requires strong expertise in modern application architectures, cloud technologies, banking domain knowledge, and customer-facing consulting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and customer proposals.
• Present technical solutions and architecture recommendations to prospects and customers.
• Engage in technical discussions, solution workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Drive technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrate solution capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support strategic pursuits and business opportunities.
• Contribute to knowledge management initiatives, reusable assets, and best practices.
• Represent the organization in internal and external events, customer forums, and industry engagements.

Required Skills & Experience

Technology Expertise (40%)

• Strong experience in Java, Node.js, Web Services, Microservices, Containers, and related technologies.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, SOA, EAI, Integration Patterns, and Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Good knowledge of database concepts and experience with at least one RDBMS.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and distributed systems.

Cloud Expertise (40%)

• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Cloud-Native Architecture, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as CNCF principles and 12-Factor Application methodology.

Presales & Consulting (10%)

• Experience supporting presales activities, solution positioning, RFP/RFI responses, and customer demonstrations.

Customer-Facing Skills (10%)

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage with prospects, customers, and senior business stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the Banking domain.
• Knowledge or experience with Core Banking products is a strong advantage.
