Frontend Engineer
About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React.js and Next.js, a keen eye for building modern, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces, and a solid understanding of frontend architecture and performance optimization.
In addition to frontend expertise, the candidate should be comfortable working in an AI-assisted development environment using tools such as Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code to improve engineering productivity. A working understanding of backend services built on Java and Spring Boot is also expected to enable effective collaboration with backend teams.
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role where you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality web applications while working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- -Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js.
- -Optimize application performance, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
- -Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- -Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Backend Engineering teams.
- -Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- -Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and technical discussions.
- -Leverage AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- -Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability and user experience.
- -Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies, AI-assisted development practices, and modern engineering trends.
Required Skills
Frontend Development
- 4-6 years of experience in frontend development.
- -Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
- -Strong experience with Next.js, preferably App Router.
- -Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- -Experience with responsive design and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Material UI.
- -Strong understanding of component-based architecture and state management such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
- -Experience integrating REST APIs.
UI Engineering
- -Strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
- -Ability to build clean, reusable, and highly interactive user interfaces.
- -Experience implementing responsive and mobile-first designs.
- -Knowledge of performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
AI-Assisted Development
- Hands-on experience using one or more AI coding assistants such as Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code.
- Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit test generation, documentation, and productivity improvement.
Backend Understanding
Working knowledge of:
- -Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- -Authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.
- -API integration and debugging.
While this is not a backend development role, the candidate should be comfortable understanding backend APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
Good to Have
- -Experience with Vercel deployment.
- -Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- -Experience with Docker.
- -Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- -Exposure to microservices architecture.
- -Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
