Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Social Media Executive to own the day-to-day execution of our D2C brand's social presence. This role requires someone who can independently manage daily posting across platforms and has strong, demonstrable experience creating and editing short-form video content using AI tools. The ideal candidate is a doer — comfortable moving fast, executing without heavy hand-holding, and turning ideas into published content the same day.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Execution & Posting
- Own and execute the daily social media posting calendar across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
- Ensure content is published on time, correctly formatted, and platform-optimized (captions, hashtags, tagging, cover images)
- Monitor real-time performance, comments, and DMs; escalate or respond as per brand guidelines
- Coordinate with the design/marketing team to maintain a consistent content pipeline (never miss a posting slot)
- Track trends, sounds, and formats daily and adapt content plans quickly to stay relevant
Video Editing & Creation (AI-Driven)
- Create, edit, and repurpose short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) using AI-powered tools (e.g., CapCut AI, Runway, Pika, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Adobe Firefly/Premiere AI features, Canva Magic Studio, etc.)
- Generate AI voiceovers, captions/subtitles, background music, and visual effects to speed up production
- Repurpose long-form content (UGC, influencer footage, product shoots) into multiple short-form assets efficiently
- Use AI tools for scripting, storyboarding, and B-roll/visual generation when original footage is unavailable
- Maintain a consistent visual/brand identity across all AI-assisted and manually edited content
- Continuously test new AI tools and workflows to improve editing speed and content quality
Content Planning & Reporting
- Maintain and update the content calendar in collaboration with the marketing team
- Report weekly on key metrics (reach, engagement, views, follower growth, top-performing content)
- Provide quick creative inputs/ideas based on trending formats relevant to the D2C brand
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand (D2C experience strongly preferred)
- Proven, portfolio-backed experience editing and creating videos using AI tools (please share sample reels/shorts)
- Strong working knowledge of at least 2–3 AI video/editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Runway, Pika Labs, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Canva AI, Adobe Premiere/Firefly)
- Comfortable executing independently — this is a doer role, not a strategy-only position
- Strong sense of trends, timing, and platform-specific best practices (Instagram/TikTok/YouTube Shorts algorithms)
- Basic copywriting skills for captions and hooks
- Ability to manage multiple platforms and meet daily deadlines without missing posting slots
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a D2C/e-commerce brand's social handles
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, or similar scheduling tools
- Basic photo/video shooting skills (smartphone content creation)
- Understanding of performance marketing basics (what content drives conversions, not just views)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Posting consistency (zero missed scheduled posts)
- Engagement rate and reach growth month-over-month
- Video output volume (number of AI-edited assets produced per week)
- Turnaround time from raw footage/brief to published content
- Follower growth across key platforms
What We're Looking For
Someone who doesn't need to be told twice — give them a brief or raw footage, and they'll turn it into a published, trend-relevant video the same day using AI tools, while also keeping the daily posting engine running without gaps.
