We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology team in Bangalore . This is an exciting opportunity to work on LSH Technology products . The team consists of 15+ people and reports to the Senior Manager. We have a strong skill set in testing , and we would love to speak with you if you have expertise in test automation
About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
- At least 4 years of experience in QA automation , with a strong foundation in test automation methodologies and tools.
- At least 2 years of experience in working closely with software development teams to validate applications and ensure high-quality standards across various software products.
- A bachelor s degree in computer science , Engineering , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of strong expertise in test automation using tools such as Selenium , Appium , JUnit , TestNG , and other similar tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java , Python , JavaScript .
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins , GitLab CI , and experience integrating automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
- API testing expertise, particularly with REST APIs , and the ability to write and execute automated API test scripts.
- Good experience with performance testing and load testing tools like JMeter .
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
It would be great if you also had:
- Cloud Containerization Knowledge: Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS , Azure , GCP ) or containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .
- Security Testing: Understanding of security testing practices and experience with tools designed for security testing, such as OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite .
- Database Testing Expertise: Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience testing data-driven applications.
- Experience with Test Management Tools: Knowledge of tools such as TestRail , Jira , and Confluence for test management and tracking.
- Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: A natural ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify the root causes of defects within the software.
What Will You Be Doing in This Role
- Test Automation Development: You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium , Appium , JUnit , TestNG to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand new features, requirements, and workflows, and integrate automated tests to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
- Test Execution Reporting: Write and execute detailed test cases, monitor the results, and log defects. You will be responsible for ensuring that automated tests run efficiently and effectively, providing detailed reports to the team on test results and bug tracking.
- Test Framework Development: Develop and improve test frameworks, libraries, and tools to enhance the overall test automation process, focusing on optimizing test coverage and improving testing speed.
- CI/CD Integration: You will integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline , ensuring seamless deployment and continuous testing of new features and updates.
- Performance Load Testing: Conduct performance testing and load testing to identify potential bottlenecks in the system and suggest improvements.
- Maintain Test Environments: Ensure test environments are up to date with the latest software releases and configurations to maintain the accuracy and relevancy of your tests.
- Test Automation Strategy: Identify areas where automation can be implemented in the development process and work to continuously improve the automation coverage across both frontend and backend systems.
- Cross-functional Communication: Communicate automated test results to various teams, including development and product management , to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stay Updated on Trends: Continuously stay informed about industry trends and best practices in QA automation to improve your test strategy and practices.
