Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Desired Skillset's :

• Strong hands-on experience in TestComplete
• Test Automation framework development and maintenance
• Experience in automation testing of Desktop and/or web applications
• Good debugging and scripting skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate approved test scenarios across PNF Acquisition, Transform, Importer & Exporter, Cuts & Plots, and System Configuration modules (40+ scenarios) using the existing automation framework.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using TestComplete and JavaScript.
• Design comprehensive functional test cases using techniques such as Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, Cause-Effect Graphing, and Error Guessing.
• Identify, map, and automate interactions with dynamic controls, custom controls, hidden objects, and complex WPFUI elements.
• Execute automated and manual functional test cases, analyze results, and record pass/fail status against expected outcomes.
• Report observations, defects, and test execution progress through Azure DevOps Boards/Test Plans following Agile-Scrum practices.
• Validate transformed/exported data and generated outputs against SQL Server databases.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–8 years of experience in QA Automation, preferably on Desktop and WPF-based applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Test Automation Engineer for automation of desktop and/or web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript scripting within TestComplete, including creation of reusable functions, custom object wrappers, and automation libraries.
• Experience in handling WPF controls, custom desktop UI controls, object identification, Name Mapping, and synchronization challenges in TestComplete.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and ability to write queries for backend data validation.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, execution tracking, defect management, and Agile workflows.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a customer-facing environment.
• Exposure to image comparison, graph validation, and visual checkpoint testing for Cuts & Plots rendering validation.

Mandatory Skill Requirement:

Hands-on TestComplete expertise is mandatory and will be a key evaluation criterion for this role. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and executing automation suites using TestComplete for Desktop and/or WPF applications.
