About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing, defect reporting, and collaboration with the development team.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Analyze product requirements, design specifications, and user stories to define comprehensive test strategies.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
- Testing Execution (Manual & Automated):
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI/UX testing across multiple platforms and devices.
- Develop, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks and scripts to reduce manual testing efforts.
- Conduct API testing to ensure robust backend integrations.
- Defect Management & Tracking:
- Identify, isolate, and document software defects clearly using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to reproduce issues, troubleshoot root causes, and verify bug fixes.
- Process & Release Management:
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality control.
- Sign off on release candidates and monitor production deployments for potential quality regressions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience & Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of proven professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Technical Competencies:
- Automation: Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright).
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby).
- API Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Database: Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and database querying.
