Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Developer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevOps best practices. This role involves working closely with Development, Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to streamline software delivery, improve operational efficiency, and ensure high availability of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Integrate automated code quality, security, and compliance checks into deployment pipelines.
• Optimize deployment strategies for reliability and minimal downtime.
• Support release management and production deployments.

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Administer and support GCP environments across Development, QA, and Production.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Deploy and manage cloud services including:
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Compute Engine
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud SQL
• Pub/Sub
• Cloud Functions
• Cloud Scheduler
• Secret Manager
• BigQuery
• Vertex AI

Kubernetes & Container Platform:

• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Administer and optimize GKE clusters.
• Configure namespaces, ingress controllers, autoscaling, and service networking.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes and container platform issues.

Infrastructure Automation:

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell.
• Standardize infrastructure deployment processes.

Monitoring & Reliability:

• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Develop dashboards for operational metrics.
• Perform incident management and root cause analysis.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Continuously improve platform reliability and performance.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement cloud security best practices.
• Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and access controls.
• Secure secrets and encryption keys using Secret Manager.
• Perform vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Security teams.
• Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and developers.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with:
• Kubernetes (GKE)
• Docker
• Terraform
• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• GitLab CI/CD
• Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Strong scripting skills using Python and Shell.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as:
• Cloud Monitoring
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
