Job Title: Scrum Master
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery. The role requires strong expertise in Agile/Scrum practices, combined with an understanding of industrial automation systems and HMI/display engineering. The Scrum Master will drive execution, ensure team productivity, remove impediments, and coordinate across cross-functional teams (developers, system engineers, plant stakeholders).
Key Responsibilities -
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile best practices
- Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and execution to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for smooth workflow and alignment
- Identify and resolve impediments impacting team productivity and delivery
- Track and report progress using Agile metrics and dashboards
- Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards in deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement and foster a high-performing team environment
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and collaboration
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead all Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective team participation and adherence to Agile principles.
- Act as a servant leader to the team by guiding, coaching, and mentoring team members on Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to ensure that the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure that user stories are clearly articulated, properly estimated, and meet the definition of ready before inclusion in sprint planning.
- Manage sprint execution by tracking progress against committed goals, maintaining sprint discipline, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Identify, analyze, and proactively remove impediments or blockers that may impact team productivity, delivery timelines, or quality of output.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and smooth flow of information between stakeholders, development teams, and leadership.
- Monitor and report team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, sprint progress, and cycle time, providing transparency to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging feedback from retrospectives and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, governance practices, and quality guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support release planning and coordination by working with relevant teams to ensure readiness, risk mitigation, and smooth execution of deployments.
- Promote a high-performing team environment by encouraging ownership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
- Assist in conflict resolution within the team and address any interpersonal or process-related challenges that may impact team dynamics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, decisions, risks, and action items to ensure traceability and alignment across stakeholders.
- Serve as a point of contact for Agile-related queries and provide guidance on best practices and frameworks.
Mandatory Skills
Agile/Scrum expertise, Scrum Master experience (5+ years), JIRA, Confluence, sprint planning and execution, backlog management and refinement, stakeholder coordination, Jira/Azure DevOps proficiency, Agile metrics tracking (velocity, burndown), impediment and risk management, team coaching and facilitation, strong communication skills
Desirable Skills
crum certifications (CSM/PSM/SAFe), scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS), basic SDLC and technical understanding, DevOps/CI-CD exposure, process improvement and metrics (cycle time, lead time), experience with enterprise delivery environments, conflict resolution and team management skills.
