Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience in Agile software development environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Scrum practices, coaching Agile teams, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement to maximize team effectiveness and product delivery value.
The Scrum Master will work closely with Project Management Team, Development Teams, Solution Architects, and Business Stakeholders across global locations to ensure successful Agile delivery and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Scrum Facilitation & Agile Coaching
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Scrum
- Sprint Review
- Sprint Retrospective
- Backlog Refinement
- Ensure Scrum principles and Agile best practices are properly understood and adopted by team members and stakeholders.
- Coach teams toward self-organization, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Impediment Removal & Team Enablement
- Identify and remove impediments that may impact team productivity and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to resolve organizational blockers.
- Support teams in improving delivery predictability, quality, and efficiency.
- Protect the development team from unnecessary interruptions and scope disruptions during Sprint execution.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage constructive communication across teams.
Agile Delivery Support
- Partner with Project Managers/Product Owners to ensure Product Backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Support Sprint and Release planning activities.
- Track Agile metrics and team performance indicators such as:
- Velocity
- Sprint Burndown
- Lead Time
- Cycle Time
- Use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and enhance delivery effectiveness.
- Assist teams in managing dependencies and coordinating cross-team initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Development Teams located both locally and remotely.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams.
- Promote stakeholder engagement throughout product development and delivery cycles.
- Help stakeholders understand Agile principles and Scrum frameworks.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Retrospectives and drive actionable improvement plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve Agile practices, team collaboration, and delivery processes.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile software development environments.
- At least 3+ years of Scrum Master experience supporting software development teams.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile principles, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience facilitating Scrum events and coaching Agile teams.
- Experience working with distributed and offshore development teams.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong communication, facilitation, conflict management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting Product Owners in backlog management and requirement refinement.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Scrum certification is preferred, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Strong English communication skills.
