RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER (M&E)

Responsibilities

Assist Consultants/ Professional Engineers (M&E) / Clients in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works onsite
Provide standing supervision as and when required by the Consultants / Clients
Ensure all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications
Liaise and close coordination with RTO of other disciplines
Liaise with the contractors/ sub-contractors in the coordination of site works
Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress
Feedback site progress and irregularities to Consultants / Clients
Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning
Check as-built drawings to tally with site installation
Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site
Document site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc.
Require working night shift

Requirements

ITE/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution and registered with IES / ACES as a Resident Technical Officer will be an advantage
Minimum 5-8 years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer
Conversant in local construction practices in air-conditioning, electrical, ELV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services, BMS
Good co-ordination skills
Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
