About the Role

The Performance Marketing Lead will own the strategy and execution of paid growth channels with a clear focus on efficient customer acquisition and measurable return on investment. This role is responsible for turning marketing budgets into scalable business growth by improving campaign performance, sharpening audience targeting, and strengthening conversion outcomes. You will work across platforms, funnels, creatives, and analytics to identify what drives demand and what needs to change. The role calls for someone who can lead with data, make fast decisions, and bring structure to experimentation. Success in this position means improving acquisition efficiency, building repeatable performance systems, and ensuring paid marketing contributes directly to business goals. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to align performance marketing with broader commercial priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the paid growth strategy across key digital channels and ensure every campaign ladder ups to efficient customer acquisition, stronger conversion, and measurable business impact.
  • Manage budgets, bids, targeting, and pacing with discipline so marketing spend stays aligned to return-on-investment goals and performance thresholds.
  • Build and run testing frameworks across creatives, landing pages, audiences, and messaging to improve conversion rates and reduce acquisition costs over time.
  • Translate campaign data into clear insights, then use those insights to reallocate spend, refine strategy, and improve overall marketing efficiency.
  • Partner with brand, creative, product, and analytics stakeholders to keep execution aligned with commercial priorities and customer experience goals.
  • Track channel performance end to end and ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and usable for business decisions at leadership level.
  • Identify scale opportunities and performance risks early, then act quickly to protect efficiency while unlocking new growth.
  • Lead with ownership and accountability so the team has a clear operating rhythm, sharp priorities, and consistent delivery against targets.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong command of performance marketing principles, including paid search, paid social, campaign optimization, attribution, and funnel-based growth strategy.
  • Deep comfort working with marketing data, dashboards, and reporting tools to identify trends, measure efficiency, and make confident decisions.
  • Hands-on ability to manage media budgets, test hypotheses, and improve ROAS, CAC, CTR, CVR, and other core growth metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with creative and cross-functional teams to turn insight into action and improve campaign outcomes at speed.
  • Working knowledge of analytics platforms, ad managers, tag setups, and conversion tracking needed to maintain clean measurement and reliable optimization.
  • Ability to structure experimentation, interpret results, and build repeatable processes that improve performance over time.
  • Clear communication skills to explain trade-offs, defend recommendations, and influence decisions with stakeholders who care about business impact.
  • A bias for ownership, pace, and accountability in a role where performance expectations are high and results must be visible.

Additional Plus

  • Experience scaling performance marketing for consumer brands or high-growth businesses where efficient acquisition and conversion matter most.
  • Comfort leading a team or mentoring specialists while still staying close to the numbers and the levers that move performance.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing, retention, or CRM as adjacent growth drivers that can improve overall efficiency.
