Job Description

Role Objective 

To lead HR operations and talent acquisition at SOIL School of Business Design, ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient people processes aligned with AICTE norms while supporting the effective delivery of the programs. The role will partner closely with academic and administrative stakeholders to strengthen institutional capability through structured HR practices. 

Key Responsibilities 

 

1. Recruitment (Strategic Talent Acquisition) 

  • Partner with leadership, faculty heads, and functional managers to understand manpower requirements across academic and non-academic roles 
  • Lead hiring for faculty, academic coordinators, and administrative roles with a strong focus on quality and cultural fit 
  • Design and execute sourcing strategies relevant to the education sector, including academic networks and industry connections 
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection 
  • Drive structured interview processes and stakeholder alignment for effective decision-making 
  • Lead compensation discussions, offer rollout, and closing of candidates 
  • Ensure strong candidate experience and engagement throughout the hiring journey 
  • Drive pre-joining engagement and seamless onboarding experience for all hires 
  • Maintain recruitment MIS, dashboards, and analytics for leadership insights and planning 

2. HR Operations 

  • Lead end-to-end employee lifecycle management including onboarding, induction, confirmation, and exit processes 
  • Ensure accurate and audit-ready maintenance of employee records, faculty files, and HR documentation as per AICTE and regulatory requirements 
  • Drive structured induction programs tailored for faculty, academic staff, and administrative teams 
  • Manage and strengthen HRMS processes, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity 
  • Support and anchor performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews 
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, addressing queries and managing grievances with maturity and confidentiality 
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies, statutory compliance, and institutional guidelines 
  • Coordinate and support AICTE audits, accreditation processes, and other regulatory reviews with complete documentation readiness 
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives across faculty and staff to build a collaborative campus culture 
  • Partner with academic teams to ensure HR support aligns with the program requirements 

Key Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and talent acquisition within higher education 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior academic leaders and faculty 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills 
  • High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to drive processes independently 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment 
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Office / Google Workspace 

Requirements 

  • 5–10 years of experience in HR (Operations + Recruitment) 
  • Prior experience in the education/academic sector is mandatory (preferably in AICTE-approved institutions) 
  • Strong exposure to faculty and academic hiring 
  • Experience working in a campus-based environment is preferred 
  • This is an individual contributor role requiring a hands-on approach to independently manage end-to-end HR operations and recruitment, while collaborating effectively with academic and administrative stakeholders.
