FINANCE FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT - D365 FINANCE

Join a high-impact D365 Finance & Supply Chain implementation for a leading US-based grain trading company. You'll configure D365 Finance for complex commodity trading operations as part of an offshore delivery team supporting onsite USA consultants.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale Microsoft D365 implementation with exposure to the agriculture/commodity trading industry vertical.

ROLE DETAILS:

• Title: Finance Functional Consultant
• Location: Offshore - Hyderabad, India (Work from Office)
• Client: US-based grain trading company
• Duration: month project (potential for extension)
• Work Hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST (overlap with US business hours)
• Employment: Full-time contract
• Start Date: 30-45 days

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Execute D365 Finance configuration per onsite lead's design:
• Configure D365 General Ledger (Chart of Accounts, financial dimensions, consolidations)
• Set up Accounts Payable (vendor master, 3-way matching, payment processing, 1099 reporting)
• Configure Accounts Receivable (customer master, invoicing, collections, cash application)
• Implement Cost Accounting (Weighted Average Cost, inventory valuation, inventory close)
• Set up Cash & Bank Management (bank reconciliation, positive pay)
• Configure Fixed Assets (depreciation, asset lifecycle)
• Financial Reporting (account schedules, financial statements)
• Support UAT testing, create test scripts, log defects
• Develop user documentation, training materials
• Provide go-live support and post-go-live stabilization

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Expertise (NON-NEGOTIABLE - 90% WEIGHT):
• 8+ years implementing enterprise ERP systems
• 3+ full lifecycle D365 Finance implementations (NOT just support/upgrades)
• Strong D365 Finance Modules:
• General Ledger: COA design, financial dimensions, consolidations, intercompany
• Accounts Payable: Vendor master, 3-way matching, payment processing
• Accounts Receivable: Customer master, invoicing, collections, cash application
• Cost Accounting: Weighted Average Cost (WAC), inventory closing, valuation
• Cash & Bank Management: Bank reconciliation, cash flow forecasting
• Fixed Assets: Depreciation, asset lifecycle management

Technical Skills:

• D365 Finance hands-on configuration experience (not just functional knowledge)
• Data entities, data import/export, data migration support
• Financial period close process (month-end, year-end)
• Strong accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, journal entries, sub-ledgers, T-accounts)
• Documentation skills (configuration workbooks, user guides)

Soft Skills:

• Excellent English communication (written and verbal - daily standups with US team)
• Self-starter, takes initiative without micromanagement
• Team player, collaborative with offshore and onsite teams
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused

PREFERRED (Nice to Have - 10% WEIGHT)

• CTRM or Commodity Trading Knowledge:
• DycoTrade CTRM, Agiblocks, Amphora, Allegro, Levridge (any exposure is a plus)
• Understanding of commodity trading concepts (futures, basis, hedging)
• Experience in food/agriculture/commodity industry
• Familiarity with commodity accounting (Mark-to-Market, dual-book, hedge accounting)

CTRM and grain domain are NOT required. We will provide training on grain trading concepts and commodity accounting during project onboarding. Your D365 Finance expertise is what matters most.

CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310)
• If you don't have this, you MUST obtain within 90 days of joining
• CPA or CMA (nice to have, not required)
