Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Pune City. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves preparing invoices, processing payments, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of financial data. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and tax-related documentation in line with applicable regulations and company policies. The role also includes supporting internal audits, maintaining organized financial records, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and suggesting improvements to financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with financial reporting, preparation of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and basic budgeting or forecasting.
- Knowledge of taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, statutory filings, and familiarity with local accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and solid MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, auditors, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and maintain organized financial documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment, is highly desirable.
