Key responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, preparing balance sheets and tax returns, tracking budgets, and overseeing both accounts payable and receivable.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare and publish accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Manage the general ledger, process transactions, and reconcile accounts payable/receivable.Taxation: Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure 100% compliance with relevant tax laws and reporting standards.Auditing & Risk: Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors by providing transparent and verifiable financial data.Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze financial discrepancies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist management with budget forecasting.Key Skills and QualificationsTechnical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) and advanced spreadsheet functions.Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting frameworks like GAAP or IFRS.Analytical Thinking: Strong mathematical skills with a high attention to detail for spotting numerical mistakes.Education & Credentials: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
