Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist registered nurses and healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care services in a clinic setting.
2. Participate in patient assessments, including taking vital signs, conducting physical exams, and documenting medical histories.
3. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by supervising healthcare providers.
4. Perform basic medical procedures, such as wound care, injections, and specimen collection, under supervision.
5. Educate patients and families on healthcare instructions, medication regimens, and preventive care measures.
6. Assist with patient intake, registration, and scheduling appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
7. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in patient care areas and clinic facilities.
8. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans and referrals.
9. Follow infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and clinic policies and procedures.
10. Participate in educational and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications: 1. Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (e.g., ADN, BSN) with completion of basic nursing coursework. 2. Possess a valid nursing assistant certification (CNA) or equivalent training is preferred but not required. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. 4. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 5. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care principles, and infection content.
