A highly specialized position mostly in production organizations, a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) operator is supposed to handle computer-programmed machinery that takes care of a vast variety of functions, such as drilling, cutting, or shaping materials. The role of a CNC operator job would include formulating and operating CNC machines to achieve tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. The candidate would also be expected to understand specifications of the work to be completed and look at driving the desired results by perusing through and comprehending blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Translating the given instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function is also the responsibility of a CNC operator.
