We are supporting one of our portfolio companies -

A next-generation NBFC with a sharp focus on scale, governance, and capital efficiency. As they expand their AUM, deepen technology adoption, and strengthen institutional investor relationships, we are hiring a Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO.

This is a high-trust, high-exposure role designed to operate at the intersection of:

  • Investor Relations
  • Strategic Execution of Key Projects & Technology Transformation
  • Founder Office & Brand Representation
  • Cross-functional business performance and optimisation

This role is intended to transition into a business leadership mandate within 24-36 months.

Objective

The Chief of Staff will act as a strategic extension of the Founder - ensuring that priorities are defined, capital is aligned, execution is rigorous, and the Founder's time is deployed toward hthe ighest-leverage outcomes.

This is not a coordination role. It is an ownership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations & Capital Strategy
  • Anchor investor communication, including board decks, performance narratives, and periodic updates.
  • Translate business performance into capital-market-ready storytelling.
  • Support fundraising processes, diligence preparation, and financial analysis.
  • Track key metrics across portfolio quality, AUM growth, risk, and profitability.
  • Ensure governance rigor in reporting and compliance.
  • Strategic Projects & Business Transformation
  • Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives, including:
  • Technology adoption & automation
  • Process re-engineering
  • New product integration
  • Ensure strategic initiatives do not get diluted by operational noise.
  • Define milestones, KPIs, risk flags, and execution dashboards.
  • Build operating rhythms (OKRs, review cadences, execution tracking).
  • Founder Office & Time Leverage
  • Act as a strategic advisor and accountability partner to the Founder.
  • Ensure Founder focus on long-term value creation vs short-term transactions.
  • Identify strategic risks and surface mitigation plans early.
  • Represent the Founder in internal and external forums when required.
  • Brand & Ecosystem Positioning
  • Support Founder positioning across:
  • Investor ecosystem
  • Banking partners
  • Industry forums
  • Regulatory stakeholders
  • Shape external narratives and thought leadership.
  • Build high-quality ecosystem relationships aligned to company strategy.
  • Business Analytics & Performance Management
  • Develop executive dashboards tracking:
  • AUM growth
  • Portfolio quality
  • Unit economics
  • Operational efficiency
  • Identify performance gaps and drive course correction.
  • Bring structured problem-solving into ambiguous business challenges.

Must-Have Capabilities

  • Exceptional structured thinking and analytical rigor.
  • Ability to move from strategy to execution.
  • Strong financial acumen (comfortable with balance sheets, AUM, risk metrics).
  • Clear, persuasive communicator - written and verbal.
  • High ownership mindset; thrives in ambiguity.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence capability.
  • Systems thinker who builds processes, not dependencies.

Preferred Background

  • MBA from a top-tier institute
  • Exposure to financial services, lending, fintech, or regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • 3–4 years of experience across:
  • Top consulting firms
  • VC/PE-backed businesses
  • Founder's office roles
  • Prior experience in investor communication or fundraising is a strong plus.
  • 1-2 years of operating experience in a business function preferred.
