Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, is for a WordPress Web Developer & SEO Specialist. The individual in this role will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including theme configuration, plugin management, and performance optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing user-friendly front-end interfaces, managing back-end functionality, ensuring responsive design, and implementing clean, maintainable code. The role also involves conducting keyword research, optimizing site content and structure for search engines, monitoring analytics and rankings, and executing on-page and technical SEO improvements. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to align website design, content, and SEO strategy with business goals is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong front-end development skills, including Web Development, Front-End Development, and Web Design.
• Proficiency in back-end and programming disciplines, including Back-End Web Development and Programming.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, including theme customization, plugin integration, and site performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page, technical, and content optimization, plus familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console.
• Ability to create responsive, accessible, and user-centric web experiences across devices and browsers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with the ability to test, debug, and improve site functionality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in agency environments or working across multiple client projects is an advantage.
