Role Description As a WordPress Developer at Govindani Infotech, you will work full time on-site in the Pune Division, building and maintaining WordPress-based websites and web applications. You will develop custom themes and plugins, configure and optimize WordPress installations, and ensure responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces across devices and browsers. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with designers and marketing teams, translating design mockups into functional WordPress layouts, integrating third-party APIs and services, and troubleshooting performance or security issues. You will also participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and support ongoing improvements to existing client projects and internal platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong front-end development skills, including experience with Responsive Web Design and Web Design for modern WordPress interfaces.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Web Development fundamentals, including PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a WordPress environment.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress core, custom theme and plugin development, and familiarity with popular page builders and frameworks.
- Understanding of website performance optimization, security best practices, and SEO-friendly development.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpret business and design requirements, and deliver clean, maintainable code.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and common development workflows; prior agency or multi-project experience is an advantage.
