We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating custom WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will have a solid combination of programming skills (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and a good sense of design and aesthetics (understanding layouts, color schemes, and typography).
This role requires a strong understanding of industry trends, responsive/adaptive design, and the full web development process from concept to deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Design and implement new features, functionalities, and enhancements based on client requirements.
- Create responsive, user-friendly layouts and convert wireframes into functional themes.
- Guide and manage website architecture for optimal performance.
- Install, customize, and troubleshoot WordPress themes and plugins.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, maintaining consistent styling.
- Respond to integration requests from front-end developers and other team members.
- Regularly back up websites and ensure smooth migration between staging and live environments.
- Test and debug code, optimizing for speed and responsiveness.
- Fix UI-related issues and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver seamless solutions.

WordPress Developer requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their rectifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Knowledge of WordPress front end and backend development
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
- Previous experience creating scalable applications.
