Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and Enterprise Storage Platforms (SAN). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, optimizing, and supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in VMware technologies, storage architecture, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
VMware Infrastructure Administration
- Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware virtualization platforms including:
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- VMware vSphere
- ESXi Hosts
- vCenter Server
- VMware NSX
- VMware Aria Suite (Operations, Automation)
- Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of VMware environments.
- Manage clusters, resource pools, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), HA, FT, and vMotion technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex virtualization issues and provide root-cause analysis.
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- Lead VMware Cloud Foundation deployment, implementation, and operational support.
- Manage SDDC Manager and workload domain lifecycle.
- Perform VCF upgrades, workload domain expansion, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure integration across compute, storage, networking, and security layers.
- Support cloud transformation and hybrid cloud initiatives utilizing VMware technologies.
Storage Administration (SAN & vSAN)
- Administer and support enterprise storage platforms including SAN and VMware vSAN.
- Design, implement, and optimize storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Configure storage protocols:
- Fibre Channel (FC)
- iSCSI
- NFS
- Manage storage replication, snapshots, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshoot storage-related performance bottlenecks and availability issues.
Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability.
- Develop infrastructure standards, governance, and operational procedures.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational requirements.
