Role Description The Video Editor is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore. This role involves editing raw video footage into engaging, high-quality learning content, including lectures, promotional videos, tutorials, and social media clips. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with instructional designers, marketers, and other creative team members to understand project objectives, define visual style, and maintain brand consistency across all video assets. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming footage, adding graphics, titles, sound effects, and music, performing color correction and audio balancing, and preparing videos for various platforms and formats. The role also includes maintaining an organized media library, meeting production timelines, and continuously exploring new editing techniques and tools to enhance the quality of educational content.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Skills in motion graphics and visual design using tools such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Experience with audio editing, sound design, and basic color correction and grading.
- Ability to plan and structure video narratives, with a solid sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Familiarity with optimizing video for digital platforms, including social media, learning management systems, and web channels.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site in Indore.
- Relevant experience in educational content, e-learning, or training videos is an advantage.
- Degree or certification in Film, Media, Communication, Design, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
