We are looking for a skilled, concept-driven Video Editor who can own the end-to-end production of video assets across brand, product, and performance, from a single demo clip to a full campaign launch. You will work closely with marketing and leadership, but you are expected to bring your own ideas to the table. Execution alone is not enough; we want someone who thinks in stories and knows how to make a viewer stop scrolling.
Responsibilities
- Edit high-quality videos across social, product, performance ads, launches, and brand campaigns.
- Create platform-native content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, as well as paid channels.
- Produce demo videos and product walkthroughs that turn screen recordings and raw footage into clear, engaging assets.
- Produce promotional and launch videos for product releases, feature drops, and campaign videos that make the viewer immediately understand SyncMonster.
- Bring strong storytelling, pacing, structure, sound design, and visual rhythm to every edit.
- Create motion design elements, animated text, transitions, lower thirds, product callouts, UI highlights, kinetic typography, and simple visual explainers.
- Develop multiple creative variants of each asset for testing across formats, audiences, hooks, and platforms.
- Generate AI-native video content using prompting, avatar videos, UGC-style creatives, synthetic footage, and integrate them seamlessly into finished assets.
- Own the creative, come in with references, ideas, and directions before a brief is even written.
- Maintain consistency with SyncMonster's brand, visual style, and quality bar across all outputs.
- Use AI video and audio tools where relevant to improve speed, output quality, repurposing, animation, cleanup, and experimentation.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in video editing for digital, social, or marketing environments.
- A strong portfolio that includes demo videos, promotional videos, and platform-native social content; this is non-negotiable.
- Proven ability to develop your own concepts, not just receive and execute briefs.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects; proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
- Solid understanding of motion design; you can build animated text, transitions, and simple explainer visuals without handing off to a dedicated motion designer.
- Excellent instincts for pacing, music selection, sound design, and visual storytelling.
- Experience editing for performance and paid media; you know how to write and structure a hook, and how to cut for conversion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to brand guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and versions simultaneously without dropping quality.
Nice To Have
- Experience in SaaS, AI, or tech product marketing.
- Basic colour grading skills.
- Familiarity with Figma for referencing design assets.
- Experience with vertical video optimisation across Reels, Shorts, and TikTok.
