We're looking for a Video Editor who can transform ideas into compelling visual stories. Someone who understands pacing, emotion, rhythm, and can adapt their editing style to suit different brands and campaigns. Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Senior Video Editor
- Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut, Audition, Capcut, Davinci Resolve)
- Knowledge of production and cinematography experience
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Understanding of video formats, compression techniques and format
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Thorough knowledge of timing and continuity
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
- Deliverables: Corporate videos, testimonial videos, commercial ads, DVCs, TVCs, event videos, explainer videos, social media reels and motion graphics films.
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
- Editing Skills: Take a brief to grasp production team's needs and specifications. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film with dialogues and graphics.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Understanding of Sound recording, Music compositing, and special effects
- Improve video and sound quality using various video software
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback, and meet tight deadlines
