Manage end-to-end relationships with technology vendors whose products and services form the foundational building blocks of the organisation's internally-built platform, which is productised and offered as-a-Service to customers.
Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect and key technology vendors to co-develop and incubate new service offerings that can be built on top of the organisation's existing managed services portfolio — translating vendor technology capabilities into differentiated, market-ready services.
Engage vendors as strategic innovation partners to identify emerging technology capabilities (e.g., AI-driven operations, SASE, network analytics, automated remediation) that can be integrated into the managed services stack and brought to market as new revenue-generating offerings.
Work with the Enterprise Architect to assess the technical feasibility, integration complexity, and architectural fit of new vendor-enabled services; support the development of service blueprints, reference architectures, and go-to-market collateral for new offerings.
Participate in joint roadmap planning sessions with vendors to align vendor product evolution with the organisation's managed services strategy, ensuring new platform capabilities are proactively adopted into the service portfolio.
Design and maintain Unit of Measure (UOM)-based cost structures that decompose underlying vendor costs into granular, service-consumable units (e.g., per user, per device, per node, per GB, per API call, per ticket, per licence seat), forming the basis for the platform's customer-facing pricing, tiered service packages, and margin management.
Translate vendor commercial schedules into standardised internal cost-to-serve models and rate cards, enabling accurate platform product pricing, cost allocation across service tiers, and P&L visibility for the platform business.
Perform projected vs. actuals cost reconciliation using UOM consumption data to ensure platform economics remain aligned with customer consumption patterns; identify and address licence over-provisioning, under-utilisation, and cost inefficiencies.
Collaborate with Presales, and Solutions Architecture teams to ensure vendor component costs and new service constructs are accurately reflected in the platform's commercial offerings — including subscription tiers, consumption-based billing, and bundled service packages.
Lead end-to-end contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments for platform vendor agreements in collaboration with Legal and Procurement; structure vendor terms to support scalability, multi-tenancy, co-innovation, and service-level commitments of the customer-facing platform.
Own platform vendor spend tracking and budget forecasting in collaboration with Finance; identify cost optimisation opportunities through vendor consolidation, volume-based pricing negotiations, licence reclamation, and UOM tier renegotiation to improve platform gross margin.
Conduct periodic vendor risk assessments for platform components covering cybersecurity posture, regulatory compliance (e.g., MAS TRM, PDPA), availability, and business continuity — ensuring vendor risks do not cascade into customer-impacting service disruptions.
Conduct RFI/RFP/RFQ processes for platform component refresh or new capability onboarding; benchmark existing vendor terms and technologies against market alternatives to keep the platform competitive.
Produce executive-ready dashboards and reports on platform vendor costs, new service development pipeline, component performance, licence utilisation, and risk posture for Product, Technology, Finance, and C-suite stakeholders.
Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field with at least 5–8 years of relevant experience in technology vendor management, platform product commercialisation, or technology procurement within a managed services, telco, or enterprise IT environment.
Demonstrated experience in co-developing or incubating new technology service offerings in partnership with vendors and enterprise architects, translating vendor capabilities into managed services or as-a-Service products.
Demonstrated experience in building UOM-based cost structures and pricing models for technology platform services (e.g., per-user, per-device, per-GB, per-transaction), with the ability to translate vendor input costs into customer-facing service pricing and margin models.
Proven experience managing commercial relationships and contracts with platform technology vendors such as ServiceNow, Palo Alto, HPE/Aruba, AWS, Elastic/Datadog, or equivalent.
Understanding of platform product economics — including cost-to-serve modelling, tiered subscription pricing, consumption-based billing, and gross margin management for as-a-Service offerings.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and the ability to engage meaningfully with Enterprise Architects on service design, integration patterns, and technology roadmap alignment.
Exposure to multi-tenant or shared-infrastructure cost allocation models is advantageous.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Enterprise Architecture, Presales, Solutions Architecture, Service Delivery, and Finance teams to align vendor innovation and commercial structures with the organisation's managed services and go-to-market strategy.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen; able to translate complex vendor cost structures, new service economics, and performance metrics into clear narratives for product, finance, and C-suite audiences.
Able to manage multiple vendor relationships concurrently, work independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment where the platform product and managed services portfolio are continuously evolving.
