Job Description - Delivery Head, Technology and Products: Banking & Financial Services (Cloud, Java, SaaS)

Location: Permanent WFH/Remote/Chennai/Vadodara/ Navi Mumbai locations

Experience: 10+ Years (Pref. Thought Machine, Java, Cloud Architecture. Preferably Angular, ionic)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
  • Own end to end project and technology delivery of products & services for customers in the Banking & Financial Services vertical including implementation in ThoughtMachine and similar platforms
  • Own Key performance parameters in
  • Delivery Excellence - Contractual obligations, SLA parameters, continuous improvement and Value add initiatives and Internal compliances
  • Operational Excellence - Build teams and manage People parameters like Utilization, Attrition; Hygiene and internal compliances
  • Financial parameters - Gross margin targets
  • Customer Management - Relationship at multiple levels of customer organization
  • Collaboration - with Account management teams in managing governance; Qualify Business expansion opportunities and contract related efforts
  • Working and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Business Communications - Written and Verbal; Creating professional documentation & proposals.
  • Understand the Software development lifecycle and implement Industry best practices
  • Project/Process Management, Reviews and Reporting
  • Ensure successful rollouts , version management, effective QA
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Identify & call out automation opportunities
  • Budgeting & Planning and Strategy
  • Manage and mentor teams
  • Identify, track, and report metrics systematically. Maintain clear communication to leadership teams with governance and dashboard reporting
Key Skills
  • Core and advanced java

  • Preferably, Angular 6 and above, HTML5, CSS3 and above, RxJS, Bootstrap, etc
  • CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, Sonar, Artifactory, Jira, bitbucket
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with the most recent 3+ years in leadership position, managing a delivery unit in end-end IT infra services delivery and Operations
  • Mandatory experience in BFSI vertical delivery solutions in the area of Core Banking Solutions, Digital Banking, Web/Mobile Applications etc.
  • Experience in implementing/delivering solutions in ThoughtMachine is highly preferable
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong team management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong bias for action & ability to stay on top of transactions requiring quick responses + ability to handle high transactional loads
  • Quality mindset & obsessive attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills & fluency in English communication (spoken & written) to be able to deal with global customers, team members, and participate in delivery when required
  • Strong technical hands-on experience in roles related to any of our tracks - Software Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or Data Science. At least 5-7 years of practitioner experience in any of these tracks
  • Budgeting and P/L management of business portfolio of US $10M
  • Traveled/Worked in international regions for cultural understanding
  • Senior CxO/VP level mapping on the customer side
  • Contract review, documentation and negotiation experience
  • Strong Technology Landscape Understanding of all service lines
  • Strong People practice credentials in engagements and management of tech/delivery team s of 50+
  • Understanding and Experience in Global delivery models including managed services
  • Expertise in recruiting & managing large distributed teams
  • Experience of managing virtual/blended delivery operations

Qualification
