UK Accounting & Reporting

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and manage required data for preparation of financial statements
• Prepare and review financial statements for UK regulated funds under jurisdictional norms
• Prepare financial statements for hedge funds, primarily in FRS or UK GAAP
• Ensure adoption of best practices and drive process improvements
• Plan, organize, and prioritize workload for timely deliverables
• Liaise with auditors, clients, and trustees to resolve reporting challenges
• Respond to client inquiries in accordance with Apex service standards
• Ensure compliance with fund specifications and regulatory requirements
• Benchmark production reports against best practices
• Define financial statement preparation timelines with clients and auditors
• Calculate mid and bid prices for portfolios
• Reconcile unit creations and cancellations
• Oversee or calculate TER and OCF calculations
• Oversee offshore reportable income calculations
• Oversee or manage the distribution calculation process

Qualification and Experience (Bulleted):

• MBA in Finance, B.Com, or accounting-specialized course
• Experience in financial reporting, preferably with hedge funds
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Familiarity with financial markets and instruments
• Experience with FRS and UK GAAP reporting

Skills Required

• High proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Strong understanding of capital markets and derivatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
